Natasha White Vol. 26 Natasha White Vol. 26

I crossed the treshold of that old building in a condition of deep pressure; the porter came to meet me with slow steps, looking me in the eye.
He wore a black and gold uniform, old style, and a weird hat. He looked at me strangely, with a disturbing smile. I told him I had a meeting with Miss. He reccomended to be quiet and he pointed to the direction I had to take.
Following his instructions I walked through a long lobby with huge windows. My steps resounded among the upholstered walls and that made me even more nervous.
Finally I went to a wooden door.
I knocked.
Nobody answered
I knocked again
Nothing.
I heard some steps in the lobby and I turned. The porter was approaching me with a annoyed look.
- I had told you to be quiet – he reproached me with a icy tone.
I looked at him without saying anything.
The man opened the door and invited me with his gaze to enter
A heavy anxiety took me and I hope that Miss would not look after that little trouble.
After a little inner fight I shut up my fears and I entered the wide room.
It was a small dance floor, surrounded by small arm-chairs.
It looked like a place made for small shows or auditions.
I heard the door behind me closing and a key turning. I pulled down the handle. The door was closed.
I turned once again towards the dance floor and I realized that, behind heavy white curtains, covering the high windows on the opposite side of the room, there was a woman with a ballet dress.
There was such a religious silence that I didn’t have the courage to say one single word.
I sat and watched. The woman gave off a aura of detachment and superiority. She started to make whirls and pirouettes. A flow of movements so harmonious to be hypnotizing.
I couldn’t make out her face but her slender body was beautiful, wasp-waist, full bosom and long legs. Beautiful. Beautiful.

After 15 minutes of dancing she stopped, turning her back on me.

I stood up and tried to reach her.
When I was next to her, she turned and looked at me.
She was beautiful. The stare of her green eyes took my breath away.
She caressed my face –I was waiting for you- she told me, holding out her hand and opening it with her palm up.
Without taking my eyes off of her charming face I put my hand in my pocket and took out the two chess pieces I had gotten from my contact.
I gave her the Queen and the black pawn. She studied them for a few seconds, then she took me by my wrist and passing through a door hidden in the wall she took me in a small dim lighted room.
-Wait here- she ordered with a velvet voice while getting out through a black door.
I sat in a sofa, the only furniture in that small place.
The wait was very long and my tension, toghether with the fear of having made a bad impression. One hour later the black door opened:
-Come-
I stood up and followed the sound of her voice.

I walked through a darkened lobby and I entered a surreal room . A squared dance floor surronded by a flight of steps raised at the center of the room. Clad in a black latex dress she was waiting for me on the top of the dance floor next to a old styled table.

I got up the stairs. All the chess pieces were in place, except for the queen and the pawn I had given to her and that she was holding in her hand.

- Do you think you are the right person? – she asked me while she placed the queen.
- N…No…it would be a honor too great a honor for me - I replied sincerely.

She looked me in the eye and I felt my knees buckling. Her gaze was more and more intense and with my heart in my throat I knelt, lowering my eyes.

She approached me, took out of a pocket a long leather lace with a small hook and she fastened it to the black collar I was wearing

- You are engaged - she whispered caressing my head – your new name is Michelle – she declared then in a loud voice.
